Problems tuning your vintage Steinberger bass? Has your bass been sitting in a closet for months/years because you can’t tune it anymore? BGStainless has the solution! At BGStainless we love the vintage Steinberger Basses and have owned and played them since the early 80’s. A common problem experienced with vintage Steinberger bass guitars is the failure of the tuning jaws and in some cases the headpiece. The stock jaws eventually deteriorate and will begin to stretch open - leaving the bass untunable and unplayable! Through the years most jaws were made from several materials such as brass, aluminum, and cast white metal. These types of metal eventually fail in one way or another which led us to the use of stainless steel in our jaws and headpiece. The headpiece itself has been redesigned to allow Steinberger players to utilize Single ball strings and also maintain the ability to use Double ball strings. |
